whenever I feel empty
and when I feel lonely
and when I am afraid
You’re calling.
and when it’s hard to rise
and when I can’t run
and when I am weak,
You’re calling.
when I see darkness
and the night has no moon
and I lay in my bed awake
You’re calling.
…calling my name
to enter into Your rest
to not turn away
but to be thrust into Your chest.
for Your voice, oh Lord,
is the loudest, it seems.
amongst the backdrop of silences
that are mingled in visions and dreams.
during my day, You know I think of You.
wanting to be near
wanting You to shine through.
oh how my heart longs to turn to You,
undivided and pure,
with my whole strength, heart and soul
I shall see you Lord.
